Let's get ready for our Concert on May 10th!
Please make sure that you know and can perform your concert music flawlessly. Honor Students must write Concert Notes for the programs. Please coordinate with Mr. L. about the programs and times to report.
Sopranos-pastel pink blouses; Altos-pastel blue blouses; Men-white shirt with matching floral ties. Everyone-black from the waist down, including socks, hosiery and shoes.
Lets start out with a different kind of warm-up: follow along with these warm-up videos. One of the section leaders, please sign in as yourself on the teacher computer and connect it to the projector, so that you can all see and hear the following together as a class.
After your warm-up please listen to one of the songs below, while watching your music and your part. Following the listening, you will break up into sectionals: Morgan can work with the Sopranos, in the largest practice room in the MIDI Lab; Vanessa can work with the altos, in the Band Room; Jacob will take the digital piano from the Band Room out into the Hall, down by the dressing rooms, and work with the men. These students are in charge of their sections and I expect that you will listen and respect them.
If you have a musician as a substitute, they may ask you to come back in to the Band Room and put the parts together. If you have a regular substitute and you don't get to put the parts together, just make sure you know your part perfectly and we will do it when I am back.
The songs and assignments on this page can be done over several classes, if I am out for an extended time. I know that you can do this together and am proud that I could leave this in your hands.
